Review: SCOTTeVEST SeV System 8.0

For the past few weeks, I have been testing the SCOTTeVEST SeV System 8.0. I’ve been following Scott Jordan and SCOTTeVEST for several years watching the company grow and develop very interesting products. After meeting Scott Jordan and his team for the first time at CES 2016, I knew I had to review the SeV System 8.0. So what is the SeV System 8.0?

What is the SCOTTeVEST SeV System 8.0?

SCOTTeVEST says the SeV System is “1 System. 2 Jackets. 8 Ways to Wear Them. With 43 pockets altogether and radically innovative functionality, the SeV System 8.0 is the ultimate SCOTTeVEST jacket. If you want options, look no further! The System 8.0 includes our Shell 8.0 and Fleece 8.0. Both have zip off sleeves and can be worn as jackets or vests. The Fleece 8.0 can be zipped into the Shell 8.0 as a liner—as either a jacket or vest—for added warmth. Worn together, you’ll have 43 pockets available for all of your gadgets and other essentials. The Shell 8.0 is water-resistant and windproof, with an adjustable/detachable/stowable hood. The Fleece 8.0 offers added warmth (and pockets) when used as a liner, but is equally amazing on its own as either a jacket or warm fleece vest. The jackets are designed to be worn together, so you do need both in the same size so the zippers match up (this will happen automatically when you order the System, but we know a lot of you are curious about that). While the jackets are great on their own, ordering them together as the System 8.0 will give you the most options for cold and cooler weather and will also save you money, as they would be a total of $385 if you purchased each one separately. And, as much as our Customer Service Reps love talking to you, we’re going to make sure there is one question they won’t need to answer over and over…the 8 ways to wear them are: (1) Shell 8.0 as a jacket (2) Shell 8.0 as a vest; (3) Fleece 8.0 as a jacket; (4) Fleece 8.0 as a vest; (5) Shell 8.0 as a jacket with the Fleece 8.0 zipped in as a jacket; (6) Shell 8.0 as a jacket with the Fleece 8.0 zipped in as a vest; (7) Shell 8.0 as a vest with the Fleece 8.0 zipped in as a vest; and, (8) Shell 8.0 as a vest with Fleece 8.0 zipped in as a jacket. We know, we know…if you include the hood permutations, there would be more than 8 ways to wear them!”

I really like the SeV System 8.0 because of how comfortable it is and how the weight is distributed. I carry so much tech when I travel and I am able to stuff the pockets with my iPads, phones, keys, and tons of other tech. It’s also deep enough to carry an Epipen (if needed). With 43 pockets, there’s more than enough to carry anything imaginable (within reason).

The SCOTTeVEST SeV System 8.0 is so premium, it will look like you spent $600 on the system. Thankfully, SeV System 8.0 does not cost that much. It’s currently only $300 USD which is a deal! Remember, you get 2 jackets essentially for $300.

Tell me another non-SCOTTeVEST jacket that has 43 jackets and is super high quality. There’s nothing else of this quality out there.

Oh and it gets even better, the SeV System 8.0 has a built in backpack. The 43rd pocket, located at the rear of the shell has a massive rear pocket that is weight-distributed that you can stuff clothes and tons of gear inside, comfortably.

Here’s another huge plus! For those who use air travel lots, save on your carry on luggage and stuff your jacket pockets. When you have to go through security, just take off the system and put it into the plastic containers. No longer will you need to empty your pockets for airline security.

Overall, I highly suggest the SeV System 8.0. Bring It! and purchase one today from SCOTTeVEST.com
