Across the globe, Apple is widely recognized as one of the most technologically advanced electronics corporations and arguably the most popular. Yeah, there’s also Samsung, Microsoft, Nokia, Hewlett Packard – the list could go on for days – but nothing quite like Apple.
Although there are strong contenders for second place, Apple sets itself apart from the pack.
One of the reasons is that the company is always on the cutting edge of technological advances – that’s why we constantly hear about the latest announcements coming out of the Cupertino campus.
This recently occurred – the tech magnate released a number of new devices and suggested more were on the way. If you’re a business owner providing your employees with work tools, an Apple enthusiast or just someone who’s interested in the latest and greatest gadgets, what should you know?
There’s a new iPhone
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know this already. The iPhone 6 Plus was released recently, and a large population scooped up their devices quickly. This new device (especially when paired with the latest iOS update that fixed plenty of issues) features a bright display, a pliable metal design, a longer battery life, faster processing power and other benefits, Tom’s Guide explained.
This is probably Apple’s strongest release to date, but the fact remains that the price can be an issue. These days, chances are good that you’re either an Apple or a Droid lover, and sometimes even the latest features don’t win out over the chunk an upgrade would take out of your wallet. That being said, this is an impressive device.
New iPads galore
USA Today pointed out that the releases of the new iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 were probably the worst-kept secrets prior to the product launch, which is saying something, since most Apple followers had a good idea about the announcements beforehand.
The source noted that this is simply a refresh. There really aren’t any significant new features to the two products – except for the fingerprint sensor and clearer camera – they just probably work a little faster and might look a tad sleeker.
iMacs hit the market
The last new device to make its debut was the iMac, which the news provider called “the hottest of the new products launched.” The computer is surprisingly thin and has an extremely impressive display. Again, however, as with the iPhone 6, the killer is the price. USA Today pointed out that this computer, as interesting and revolutionary as it may be, will run consumers more than $2,000.
Think carefully about what you need before buying new products – should you hold out for something down the line or start spending now to stay afloat?
