Recently I had the chance to review FixMeStick, a really easy and efficient way to remove viruses from your PC. Basically, FixMeStick comes in a USB stick that is loaded with antivirus scanners. You plug in the USB drive, run the program, your computer reboots and loads the removal software, pretty awesome. Having it scan before Windows even loads helps to remove those pesky viruses that provide fake results to antivirus scanners.

It’s super easy to use, but with one caveat that I didn’t care for. It asks you for an Internet connection and it only accepts a wired internet connection to update your FixMeStick and malware definitions. So all those users that have only a wireless connection (like me) are pretty much screwed if you have a desktop.

Overall, it truly does the job. I highly suggest it. For $50, it’s a deal! Pick it up here[2] today!

The FixMeStick: Hardware-based detection and removal of viruses, spyware, trojans, rootkits, and more that cannot be removed with software-based security programs.

Antivirus programs do their best to prevent viruses from infecting your PC, but infections remain widespread.

Viruses that get past antivirus can be impossible to find or remove because the infections take control of the PC.

The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team and the Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre recommend scanning an infected PC with a “trusted bootable USB”, like the FixMeStick.

In partnership with three leading antivirus companies (Kaspersky Lab, Sophos, and GFI), FixMeStick Technologies brings you this easy-to-use virus removal device that won’t harm your PC.
