Recently, I had the chance to review the ENERGI power case by TYLT for the Galaxy S3. The ENERGI comes packed with an 1800 mAh battery inside the case that is used to provide additional battery power to your device.

While the battery did do the proper job giving me another 1800 mAh of power, the case itself is by far functional. It’s not a matte finish, it’s glossy black which means it’s a fingerprint magnet. The case makes your beautiful S3 look really cheap and boring, and the buttons you can’t even push in cause when the case was engineered, it was engineered with protection in mind, not usability. You have to have quite long fingernails or small fingertips to press the buttons in. Totally not functional at all. I mean it has a kickstand which is a good addition but I want to actually be able to use the device with this case.

TYLT please go back to the drawing board on your case. The battery itself is good, I give you props on that but the case is totally yuck and the design is horrible and not practical. Maybe you should take some hints from PowerSkin who have designed a beautiful case that is actually practical. The PowerSkin review for the Galaxy S3 will be coming soon.

Overall, I do not suggest this product to anyone. There are better alternatives out there like the PowerSkin case for the Galaxy S3. My score for the TYLT ENERGI power case for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is: {rating}
