Review: NewerTech NuGuard Keyboard Cover for MacBook Air

A few days ago I received the NewerTech NuGuard Keyboard Cover to review. My Macbook is the 2011 model and I ordered the 2011 MacBook Air keyboard cover. Even though the website notes this, the mapping of the keys on the cover is off on several keys. Also, the lettering on the keys for the sleeve isn’t aligned with the actual Air’s keys which looks sloppy. On the white cover, you can easily see the misalignment of the printing on the cover when the backlight is turned on. It also doesn’t really lie flush throughout the entire keyboard, as it tends to rise on some keys, as you can see these issues below.

However, the cover does do its job which allows it to earn “some” points. Do I recommend it? Yes and no. It needs some improvements with the printing  and maybe some light adhesive to stick the cover down properly. At the current way this cover is produced and shipped to consumers, I give it the following: {rating}

If you are interested in purchasing the NewerTech NuGuard Keyboard Cover, it is available here for $9.00.
