So, the HTC Desire C where shall I start. I shall start by saying this is one of the best HTC phones I have EVER used. When looking at it for the first time, it looks like a cheap, simple phone. But boy oh boy it sure isn’t a simple burner phone. The HTC Desire C packs power, and it’s one peppy little device I got to admit. There isn’t really much to say about this phone, so let’s just keep is simple.

It has the form factor of the Wildfire S, yes.. a smaller screen size. But don’t let that turn you away, this phone packs so much juice (1,230 mAh) to let you running for an entire day without having to recharge. I literally can tether off the whole day on this, and still be left with a 20% charge, amazing? Yes! It’s also extremely quick to charge.

In terms of specs the Desire C it packs a 600MHz processor and 512MB of RAM. It’s a smidge bigger than the Wildfire S from 3.2 on the Wildfire to 3.5 on the Desire C. It keeps its HVGA resolution of (320×480).

In terms of aesthetics, this phone has it all. With the rubber shell, it makes it easy to grip without having it slip out of your hands.  The HTC Desire C was beautifully designed and everything was taken into consideration, I mean everything. Weight is about 100g.

The HTC Desire C also has Beats Audio integration and you can definitely tell this phone was meant for audio. Videos load up literally like the speed of light and sound amazing! There is one thing it’s missing though, and that would be NFC. NFC on the HTC Desire C would be amazing. It does have Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, but no NFC.

In terms of the operating system, it does have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. I reached out to HTC regarding 4.1 but they have no news to share regarding 4.1 on the Desire C. Other reviewers said the Desire C’s interface is “slow and sluggish” that isn’t the case at all honestly, it’s quick and zippy. Another thing they could have added to this phone was a front facing camera, which unfortunately the Desire C doesn’t have.

The camera is 5 MP, which isn’t bad at all. The Desire C took some fantastic photos which wow’d me a lot. One thing it does lack though, is a flash. Note that not having flash improves battery life, but I do wonder why they removed it.

Overall, all I really have to say is WOW. Keep up the great work HTC. I do recommend this phone for anyone looking for an upgrade with a relatively compact form factor packing a ton of power and features.  {rating}
