Apple abandons Windows support of Safari 6

For some people, the thought of Apple abandoning Windows support for Safari is quite a blow. For others, it doesn’t make that big of an impact. Well simply put, Apple has indeed abandoned Windows support of Safari in their latest version, Safari 6. When navigating to the Safari download page, there are no more “download” links. It simply says now, “The latest version of Safari is available in Mountain Lion. The latest version of Safari for Lion is available through Software Update.”

While it is possible that Apple may indeed roll Safari out as an update via Apple Update Manager for those that have iTunes for example, we don’t expect them doing this.
