Google to release Chrome for iOS devices today [Updated]

Last year in May, we heard rumors that Google was about to release a version of Chrome for iOS devices like the iPad, iPhone. Today, at the second day of the Google I/O conference, Google announced that Chrome has been ported to work on iOS! Hurray!

It should be available to download from the iTunes App Store later on today and will work on the iPhone 4/4S, along with the iPad 2 and current versions of the iPad.

They showed how the Chrome iOS version would work. Such features as incognito browsing along with the ability for users to sync their browser settings with other devices that have that browser installed.

This is huge news for Chrome after releasing a final version of their browser for Android 4.0 devices yesterday.

Update: Google Chrome for iOS is now available to download from iTunes.
