Crooks, be warned, this camera will get you in the act. Swann today announced the Audio Warning Security Camera. With the unique combination of a day/night video surveillance camera with a motion triggered audio and visual alarm, Swann’s latest innovation acts as a multi-faceted deterrent for intruders.

When Audio Warning Security Camera’s built motion sensor is tripped, it emits a loud 50dB warning message that says: “Warning. You have triggered the alarm system. Your movements are being recorded.” That is just way too cool! Also, users can choose to have the camera’s blue and red warning lights flash upon motion detection (looks like a cop car) either by itself or in conjunction with the verbal warning.

The camera itself features night vision up to 50 feet and a high resolution Super CMOS video sensor that records in 480 TV lines. Swann’s Audio Warning Security Camera is easily connected to either a TV or DVR and controlled via the included remote control. As with all Swann products, included in the box is everything needed to install the camera: cables, power adaptor, mounting bracket, screws and more.

Swann’s Audio Warning Security has a MSRP of $59.99 / C$49.99 and will be available for purchase from Fry’s, Lowe’s, J&R, HSN, Menards, Mega Goods, Hastings, Abes of Maine, Adorama, 7th Avenue and others.
